Largest collection of black markers in the world!

Tronoto based Stusio B.I.B (Black is Beautiful) set out on a mission to build the largest collection of black markers in the world. And if that wasnt enough he intends to draw each and every single one to scale. Allister Lee (the patient designer) calls his collection of drawn markers Black Marker B.I.B.L.E. The collection started in 2002 and by the beginning of this year has reached 523 unique black markers, and its till growing!

Now that requires some patience... what if he messes one up? does he redo it all over again??

The No Mix Eco-Friendly Toilets

I havent seen one yet, but the NoMix toilet is the latest technology when it comes to toilets. The NoMix toilet has two receptacles. Believe it or not, seperating them has quite significant environmental benefits! By keeping urine out of the sewers, nitrogen and phosphorous can be recovered, also waste water treatment plants become more efficient. They NoMix toilet has already been experimented in 7 different european countries, with a total percentage of 84% of people saying that its a brilliant idea... What do you think?

PostCarden

Im always interested in forcing unexpected things together in a product so that they create this new found relationship. This Postcard/Garden does exactly that. PostCarden is designed and produced in the UK by A Studio for Design. I just love the idea of it, so you send a postcard to someone special, and your words grow and flourish into a small garden, oh and you can eat the cress aswell! Brilliant!

Coming to a store near you - some day!

Designers: Kitae Pak & Inyong Jung

It’s a shopping trolley re-designed to be fitted with wheels that store the kinetic energy, generated from using the trolley and walking around the store. The sourced up energy is deposited to the main power storage unit, when the cart docks into it. Just line them up, one behind the other to form a power chain! The designers suggest that the sourced energy can be used to completely sustain the store for the month. A month seems to be too far fetched don't you think?
